Ok, I've been reluctant to post this for the past week now, but I'm going to go ahead and do it. If this gets taken down by mods, my apologies to them and I really don't care. I will try to make this as easy as possible so I won't have to answer any questions, because I will NOT offer you guys any help.

Pick a Playlist:

Go on your profile and open whatever playlist you want to share. If you don't have a personal playlist you want to share, find a playlist you want on your site. On that page there will be a code to embed the playlist on a webpage. (see picture) Copy the code and paste it in Notepad (or whatever text editor you use).




Get a Redirect URL:

Visit THIS PAGE and pick any redirect website you'd like. I just randomly picked one, it was LinkFrog, although, this will work with TONS of others. Ok, once you are at the redirect website, copy the playlist URL that you pasted into Notepad earlier. (This would be the URL after "<param name="movie" value=" and "<embed src=") and paste that URL into the "Link to shorten" box. Shrink the URL. Replace the original URL(s) in the embed code with the new "shrinked" URL that you just got from this webpage.

Post on Myspace:

Alright, take your newly made embed code (with the shrunken URL) and copy it all and paste into your profile. There are tons of websites out there that tell you how to customize your page (change player location) but that's not what this post is about, so use Google, it's your friend.

That's it kids, hope it works for you. If it doesn't, don't bother me about it!

check the autoplay box first
copy the code and only take out this section

"http://media.imeem.com/yy/blahblah/" (will appear twice in the code)
LEAVE the quotes and the slash that appears at the end of urls
take it to notlong.com get a redirect

you can name it anything you want
such as http://myspaceismean.notlong.com

ok i paste my code in the url box in notlong.com and i make one they gave me the short one and password and then all it has is select box and save the short url..

also, if you want to control the autoplay and shuffle features - select those first and THEN copy that code to paste into notlong.com. you should see the two parameters: /aus=false/autoShuffle=true/ to control shuffle and autoplay.

i have tried it at three sites and it still not working for me

tried - I'm pretty familar with html an codes an it just wont work for me Not in my profile, not in blog, not in comments .... i see some who have done it - mostly in blogs but for some reason it just wont work for me.

Argh @ myspace, recent changes threw my entire page offset - so little by little all the features most enjoyed are being taken away.

now u can just copy the codes and paste them and it will work...i guess since myspace has done a lil update to their site...but one thing i cant get it to auto play and i think this is on imeem behalf cuz when i look at the code i dont see the auto start line

ok i did everthing rell said i went to notlon.com and shortend it i got the short url i replaced it in the embeded one but it wasnt www.something.com it was http:// not www. and i copied it on myspace but all i got is a blank box is there a specific place were im suppose to paste the code?

tom fixed the embed codes for myspace so you can just use the embed code and post it like before. it works now. tell your friends.

its probably just your computer. my computer does the same thing except instead of the imeem player, its the myspace music and videos.

hahahhahahaaaa if u call him a genious call me a master cuz.. i didnt have to use that website. i just copy and paste code to my space. then it apear in blank which make me mad. but after you refresh the edit page and quit post the imeem content will apear. after that i didnt press save cuz if i press save the imeem content will apear in blank. i wait like for 5min then press save. and i have my playlist on myspace now.

ya, or you could post the code then click preview and wait till you see the playlist working. after that wait 5min and press save. go to your profile and see if is working. if is working do not post anything on the profile setting and save it or the playlist will be blocked again and gonna look like a blank cube which is no good. but if it hapeng try to do the same thing to see if it work again.

well after 3 sec. meaby is because i alway put my playlist auto play and auto shuffle

so i got to click on auto shuffle and auto play first then copy the embeded code on myspace and wait till i see the playlist when i click preview then when i see it i click save.

ok heres my PLaylist url- ...I have Auto play and Auto shuffle checked, i went to urlsnip.com and tried to shorten this part of my url "http://media.imeem.com/pl/cG3u09IjgB/ but it said it was an invalid url.
So i tried this part "http://media.imeem.com/pl/cG3u09IjgB/autoShuffle=true/".
And it said please enter a valid url something you can get on the internet with.
Am i doing something wrong here?

well meaby i am lucky who know lol. anyway about the shorting the URL of imeem adress i dont know.... i havent try that yet

not bad my strategy work for Anita

1- copy the playlist code
2- paste it on myspace "edit prifile page"
3-preview the page. if the playlist show up wait 5min.
4-press save than go to your profile to see if it work.

Wow, thank you so much. All day I have been trying to get past myspace's block on imeem. The only solution i thought about was using a inlayed window linking to a page w/ my player on it. However, myspace rejects the  code. But you saved me the hassle of further investigation! Thanks!

Just a quick tip -- on that list of URL-shorteners the original poster provided, some may work better than others.

I tried TinyURL first, and the filters blocked that one. But when I tried the Link Frog site, my playlist got through. So if your first attempt at this doesn't work, definitely try another site or two before giving up!
