I've been singing/playing with a band in San Francisco for about three years now. I've participated in a few indie film projects, the latest of which won the award for best narrative feature at the New England film festival. I have been hoping I would get a chance bring my love of music and film together. I see this as the perfect opportunity.

Hey guys! How are you all?

I'm Morven and I'm from Glasgow. Incidentally - yes, I've heard any and all jokes involving my name and the words 'More Than'; this is not a challenge, nor a request for you to serenade me with 'More Than a Woman' or 'Mighty Morven Power Rangers', because frankly, they've been done, guys. Anyway, I've lived in Glasgow for 19 years and am, by some surprising coincidence, 19. When I'm not singing, I'd like to say you'd find me acting or writing or something, but to be honest, it's a fair bet that you'd probably find me doing laundry, because it's the summer holidays and that's apparently all I do with my time. Honestly - I don't know how anyone with an actual day job functions and doesn't just end up living in a pile of unironed pyjamas. When I get out of spending quality time with the washing machine, I play the cornet - a smaller version of a trumpet, that sounds like it should be a mix between a clarinet and an ice-cream cone, but is unfortunately none of the above - and I have a vague awareness of how a guitar functions. Well, I do actually know how to play it, but my teacher and I never really clicked. It was partially because I had actual fingernails and partially because he blamed me for the fact that he kept forgetting to feed his cat. I don't know how I was responsible for that, but I think the sound of my guitar technique was a reminder.

this has happened to number of the tracks when they are first uploaded and has to do with the agreements iMeem have with the rights organisations in the USA. Someone at iMeem is monitoring the thread though and should be able to sort this (and any others that are only 30 second clips) fairly soon. It also appears to be totally random as to which entries this happens to - so please don't read anything into it! I'm Samantha, 27, Brazilian, and I live in London. I graduated in psychology some years ago and shortly I will begin a postgrad course here. English is my second language, but I've been learning it since I was 10.

Artwise I've only participated in a couple of popular singing groups: first in Uni, and now in London. We sing Brazilian popular music, mainly bossa nova, which I really love. I do it for pure fun and it's given me a little bit of experience in group singing and in performing on a stage.

I must confess the high standard of the versions so far is quite intimidating. After lurking for a while, I finally found the courage to give it a go!

The Psychiatrist's in caught me straigh away (I wonder why). Thanks for sharing it with us!

Hello there! My name is Melissa Ann, I'm 26 and live in Bloomington, Indiana.

I've always wanted to be a singer/dancer/photographer. I began my career by singing and dancing along to Madonna albums on my front porch, forcing the neighborhood boys to watch and cheer. I currently sing for a punk band in Bloomington called JERK ALERT! We've been on two small tours and have recorded some demos, nothing extensive. This is my first real experience being in a band and performing on stage. I sang in the chorus at school one year, but didn't quite enjoy participating in school activities and gave it up, so I mostly stuck to my bedroom, performing in front of the mirror. Singing has always been a dream of mine and I can't imagine a better opportunity that this one!

I also write a zine called "she's so very..." and have been doing so for about 7 years. I received my bachelor's degree in social work and currently am a Case Manager at a community mental health center.

Hello! I love this song! what an exciting project! I have been singing professionally for 17 years-been in numerous bands and worked with fellow artists/musicians on different projects. I'm Elz (short for Eleanor), I'm 18 and I live in the south of England. I love singing, but have never done it professionally or had lessons, though I've been in school choirs since I was very young and no one seemed to complain too much when I was given a solo. I play the guitar a bit, badly, and I've done some acting in school.
